This presentation is one of the culminations of the minor along with the E-portfolio. During the senior capstone students are tasked with making a presentation documenting their path throughout the minor. However this isn’t an ordinary presentation, it uses the Japanese Pechakucha format which contains 20 slides, with the slide auto-advancing after 20 seconds, resulting in a 6 minute and 40 second presentation. It was my first time presenting in this kind of format and it was a great challenge, it felt like the slides were running away from me, but at the same time it helped me think critically about what I truly wanted to say since time was so limited. The unique formatting helped me craft a meaningful presentation. I was able to get at the heart of what I really wanted to convey: how the Global Engagement minor affected me and fit into my time at Wesleyan. I’ve attached the video of my presentation and the brief Q&A Session after it to this post, I hope you enjoy it!
